Fishing in Northern Sweden

Here in Northern Sweden during summertime we are bathed in 24 hour sunlight thanks to the mid night sun. The long summer nights from June to August have a unique light and feel to them and they allow you to fish 24 hours of the day. Putting down your rod to go and sleep is almost impossible when its still sunny and it is an experience that has to be seen to be believed.
We fish with fly, spin, trolling or bait all depending on fish species, season and not least what you think is the most fun method. We can supply you with equipment and give tuition in spin fishing with jerkbait, fly-fishing or trolling etc. Why not try a new method for a day.

Here at the Northern most point of the Baltic we live in a sub arctic climate which means long sunlit summer nights and day temperatures of between 15- 25 degrees. From May to August you can fish 24 hours a day under the midnight sun.
Pike (Esox Lucious) is our favourite sport fish and we can fish year round for it. The summer fishing period begins about the 20th of May and continues until the 15th of October. The absolute best pike fishing is from June and to the 15th of September. Fishing is still good outside of these periods with very little chance of coming home empty handed.
Pike are caught mostly by spin or jerkbait fishing, fly fishing with large colourful flies can be very effective or even wobblers and large spoons work very well. Average catch weight is between 3-4 kilos but there are several over 10 kilo caught every season and our record is 19,5 kilo.
