The time of year you visit us really doesn’t make much difference it mainly depends on which kind of fishing you prefer Whenever you come we will be able to offer you great fishing in a beautiful environment. Here you have no risk of being crowded out by other fishermen as you can easily find places that haven’t been fished for days or even weeks. The Luleå archipelago offers you lots of secluded and exclusive bays to fish in. Welcome Methods for an exciting and challenging Pike fishing
We use spin, fly-fishing and trolling with floating wobblers. Jerkbait fishing is probably the most exciting thing to try in sport fishing just now. With jerkbait fishing it makes little difference if you are a beginner or an experienced fisherman. The idea with jerkbait fishing is that you fish with a wobbler that has no artificial movement so you have to make the bait move in the form of a wounded fish, either by floating or sinking, floating being definitely the most spectacular and effective method. Because Pike are such hungry predators they make a violent strike at the bait often leaving the water in an up to one meter hop. Spring fishing 25th of May to 25th of June During this period are we are well known for our excellent surface fishing especially with fly and surface going jerkbaits. Spoons and spinners are also effective during this time. Water temperature is often only between 10-15?c but chances to large catches are very good. Ten to twenty fish per day are not uncommon. Summer fishing 25th June to 15th of August We fish relatively shallow during the whole of the season but high summer is the period when we fish mostly around drop offs with sinking wobblers, live and dead bait and jerkbaits. Even surface fishing with jerkbaits is OK during the whole of this season. Fishing during summer is for those of you who enjoy long sunny days and warm temperatures. Summer offers you a chance to catch the real large fish but not the numerous catches of Spring or Autumn fishing. Water temperature is between 15-20? c. Autumn fishing 16th of August to 30th September This is the time of the year when Pike begin to move back into shallow waters again. The midnight sun disappears and with the darker nights the water temperature begins to fall again. Now its time to slow your return and fish with jerkbaits, flies, spinners or wobblers. During this period trolling is a very effective way of getting into contact with big pike. Catches of five to ten fish per day are usual during this period. If you enjoy fishing through the day and visiting a pub or nightclub in the evening then summer and autumn are definitely the right times to visit us.
